Chinese Foot MassageDescription:Chinese foot massage has been practised in the East since the 4th century BC and is still an important part of Chinese living. After this course you can offer Chinese foot massage as a separate treatment. It is also very useful to use if you have a client whose symptoms are not improving with reflexology. The day will start with a short introduction on Chinese foot massage and then is practical work for the rest of the day. The first part of the massage is a soak in a foot bath in a spa filled with hot water and fragrant herbs. After a long soak the massage can begin. Chinese foot massage uses cream for the treatment, with knuckles and sticks used to work the reflex areas, it is based on stimulation. You will learn to adapt your reflexology treatment to be able to perform it as a massage. There is no thumb work, so also gives your thumbs a break. We will also look at how you can use some of these moves in your everyday reflexology treatments. The day finishes with learning a gentle lymphatic drainage sequence on the foot. This again uses cream and is a treatment that can be put in as a closing move. It encourages the flow of lymph and can help relieve oedema or swelling and can be used on any age. You will feel wonderful at the end of the day !! For more information contact Sally on 07989 584425 Please bring a pen, 2 towel and powder or cream for the practical.
